"The Happy Movie"
At the beginning of the documentary, I began to wonder if this film was going to try to teach someone how to possibly be happy. As I continue watching it, I notice that the film isn't necessarily trying to teach people how to be happy, but to find happiness in the places you wouldn't expect happiness to be. The film told stories of people who were able to find their happiness, despite the hardships they faced or the obstacles that had to overcome. My favorite part of this documentary was when they followed the rickshaw driver in India. He told the camera that he was happy with his life and that he found happiness when he came home and saw his child smile at him and express how much they missed him. At first glance, it doesn't look like the driver had much and that he was most likely poor. But when entering into his life, it is shown that what he has doesn't matter to him. It is his family and neighbors that make him happy. When I finished this documentary, I noticed that it actually did teach me how to be happy. It made me realize that the only way I can be truly happy, is if I have to believe I am and not take the little things for granted.
